Question E-3 Visa and Green card - Dual intent?

While it looks like a banal kind of topic that's been discussed so many times before but I'm still trying to figure out if my employer files an LC and then i140 on my behalf to process a GC what would happen to my visa interview if a renewal is needed in the middle of the GC process (very plausible); obviously there I can't pretend to have no intentions to stay permanently.

Any links on the USCIS? or experience?

Thank you
