Default DV Lottery Place Of Birth Question

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could help answer a simple question on the DV lottery?

Despite being a UK citizen, my place of birth is actually Germany in my passport.

From what I gather, this entitles me to enter the DV lottery.

However, I was only born abroad due to my father being in the forces. I am not even close to being German! Does this have any implication at all, or is it simply black and white, based on passport info?

It is of course highly unlikely, but I wouldn't want to find myself in a position of being successful in the lottery, applying for a Visa, only to then be 'rumbled' at interview stage as trying to use (what appears to be) a loophole of sorts.

I have checked the DV site, but can't find any specific reference to these circumstances.

Thanks for reading, and thanks for any help.
