Dual Citizenship: US-Chile-Croatia-Italy
Hi. I'm Chilean-Italian and my husband is American-Croatian.
I know some countries don't allow for dual nationalities. I read that as a
Chilean, if I become an American, I must renounce my Chilean citizenship.
And that my husband can't become a Chilean citizen either.
Does anyone know where I can find some info regarding this matter?

You could ask the Chilean consulate.
From the info I could find, you are correct in saying you can't have duo
citizenship with Chile.
So, you have to choose your citizenship. It is sometimes possible to
retain citizenship from two countries even though both countries say
they do not allow duo citenship. After all, when you become a US
citizen, INS doesn't send notification to the other country.
Are you also an Italian citizen? Additionally, we generally use the
current country of citizenship in the second position, like
"Croatian-American" if the former country was Croatia.

I would start with a search at . If you are in
the US you might also consider contacting the Chilean Embassy.
