Does anyone know if I will have any problems at my INS medical exam if I have taken
Tylenol with Codiene? My doctor prescribed it because I had my tonsils out a while
back and I was taking it for pain.....Someone had told me they drug test and that
would come back as a positive drug test for narcotics. Can I just bring the
prescription bottle in and show the Doctor?

I don't think they do drug test --only TB skin test, vaccination, blood test (HIV & syphilis), and general physical exam.

My husband just completed his medical exam and they did not drug test him. they took a urine sample to check his blood sugar and a blood test for HIV and did a TB skin test. good luck

Regardless if the test includes testing for drugs or not, bring the bottle with you and tell the doctor. It won't hurt to be safe. He might advise why you are still in pain if you had your tonsils removed "a while back".

Oh. I thought it stayed in your system for a long time and could be detected weeks
after you stop taking it.
