HI, everybody
Could someone answer to my question:
is it possible and legal to study at college or university under H4 visa? Or there is a
need to get F1 visa? Is it possible to enter USA with H4, start a studying and then get
F1, if there is a need?
Thank you in advance.

>visa?
Yes, but I believe that in order toattend full time and pursue a degree the University
will require that you change fo F-1 status. This is just what I've heard, I don't know if
it's in INS regulations.

You absolutely can study using an H4, my daughter did it, but be aware that you will
almost certainly need to pay out of state fees until you get a Green Card, no matter how
long you are in state. This is true for Florida, and I'm sure is so for many other states.
Also, you cannot do ANY part-time work on an H4. You need an F1 for that.
Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer, get real legal advice, don't take mine, blah blah blah.

My wife goes to college on an H-4, paying local rates in Los Angeles.
