Default which document to inform about address change

Hello. We are moving out and me and my wive's address is about to
change. I am still waiting for invitation for fingerprints and EAD
card, we sent all I-485, I... in one mail, together with about $700 usd
(675 documents plus 70 for fingerprints). I did & send immunizations.
We are changing addresss very soon. Which application (form) to send?
Honestly, person we rent the place from really went wrong with us, so I
am pretty sure, that he is not going to give back any lettersthat were
being sent to that address - my additional question - will INS sent any
more documents to the old address once we'll change it? I don't want to
miss invitation for fingerprints & EAD card.

Thanks!

AR-11 is the form to be sent to Kentucky. Also you need to send letters to the District Office you will be using and to the NBC to let them know that you have moved. Also call the 1-800 misinformation number and have them change your address in the computer.

Please note that you will still be getting mail at your old address. It is not unusual with the CIS for the left hand not to no what the right is doing.

Be sure to leave a mail forward card with the Post Office and pray daily.

In addition to the above you should send in form I-865 Change of sponsor's address.

It seemed to go smoothly for us. Our attorney called the 800 number, and provided the forms. My EAD and AP came to my new address within 4 weeks of this all being done.

What is NBC? What is CIS? I came under J-1 visa and filled for AoS
being legally in U.S.A. An owner where we were renting place from is
not going to forward or let us know about our mail (he is not that nice
kind of humanbeing, he is a monster), which forms should I sent? When I
called at 1-800 there is only voice message machine. There nobody to
speak about changing for new address.. :(

National Benefits Center. The USCIS office where you filed the AOS.

That's the agency you filed the AOS with. CIS and USCIS are the same thing.
INS no longer exists; it was abolished several few years ago, but some
people still use that term when they mean USCIS.

You need to send (at least) two separate changes of address, as Rete already
explained. First, by law you must file form AR-11. If you don't, you can
get deported. However, it won't do anything to update your case.

You need to separately inform the USCIS office where your case is pending
(in other words, NBC or possibly your local office) about your move.

Also file a mail forwarding request with the US postal service.

Hint: rent a mailbox and have all your mail go there. That way, if you later
move again, you won't have to worry about losing mail (you would still need
to file the AR-11).

Try a different time of day - but don't do it until a few weeks after you
sent your change of address notices. Have them confirm that they do have
the correct new address.

And finally, regularly (every week or so) visit the USCIS Web site for a
status update of your case. This will hopefully tell you when they mail
something, so you will at least know if mail gets lost.
