Default Do I Need a New Visa When I transfer Schools?

Dear Netters & Immigration Gurus,

Could you please answer these Challenging queries?

I just got in from India but need to change my school (and program)
where I have been accepted.

1) What do I need to do?
I think I will need new I20.

2) Can I take the new I20 and have my passport & F1 student visa
endorsed by INS here to reflect take the new school

3) I am hoping that I WILL NOT have to take the new I-20 to the
consulate and come in again?

4) If Q NO 2 is yes then I hope that I WILL NOT have trouble coming in
and out of US and that I will not have to get a new visa.

Please advise. This will serve as a good guideline for other students
in the same situation...

God Bless you all
Regards
Sunny

You don't need a new visa. Your advisor at the school where you are now
can help you with a transfer to the new school and change of program.
The new school will have to issue you a new I-20.

Note, you will need to explain the circumstances under which you are
seeking a change so that it's clear you did not commit visa fraud.
