Depends on what airliners land in front of him. My last trip from Colombia thru Houston had five jumbo jets from overseas land in front of us and the lines were Looooooong...most time it is fast.

Hi,

My husband came throught the Detroit POE May 25, 2003. He wrote about his experience here:

Be warned, it is a long post so read when you have a bit of time on your hands.

I just re-entered via Detroit on my K3 visa (and my son on his K4) and it wasn't too bad at all. Obviously like the previous poster pointed out, it must depend on how many flights are coming in at that time. The one good thing is that the immigration officer who checked me through clearly knew what a K3/K4 visa was as he didn't ask me one solitary question!

i'm just worried he might miss his flight. he may have to sprint the entire length of the airport.

thanks

thanks thing 1,

that was great reading and eases my mind a little. so there must not be a separate room the immigrants need to go into?

nat,

was your first entry thru detroit as painless as the re-entry?

My first entry on the K3 was via Newark and it was pretty painless there.
