So you are saying you bought a visa through political contacts.
Where did the legal fees come in?

Oh.... so the politicians demanded that DOS issue a visa because it benefited their business interests and helped them financially...... that makes your story even more unlikely.

It is very American to a point, but people who benefit from corruption don't typically brag about it on the interwebs. Of course, this is just alleged corruption because it doesn't appear that politicians pulled the strings as described.
Of course if this guy is correct, why squander that pull on a measly B1/B2. He should get them to order up a green card for him or a US passport. Get them to use their juice and go for the whole enchilada. Get an ambassadorship!

..... Prior to my application, through my business contacts in the USA I was put in touch with the former head of Homeland Security, and US house of Representatives member. I was also put in contact with US Senator Tim Hutchinson, and US Senator John Boozeman.
US Senator John Boozeman demanded a congressional enquiry into why I was refused twice.
US Senator Tim Hutchinson contacted the US Embassy Consulate General in London and told him about my case.
The former head of Homeland Security called the US Embassy in London and strongly advised that I be given a visa, and the consular officer stonewalling me be disciplined for his prior actions.
I subsequently was granted the visa I had previously been denied. All in all I spent close to $100,000 on legal fees, but in the end it came down to my contacts using their authority and power to get the job done. .......
