Default De-scheduling of citizenship interviews

Hi:

I got an interview call from BCIS on 08/07 for 10/17. Exactly a day
later, I got a letter saying that the interview was "Descheduled".

Now, I have another letter saying that my interview is on 12/16. It's
been a few days since it arrived and I am now holding my breath if it
be followed by another de-scheduling letter.

Is there any time limit after which we can say that the Descheduling
storm has passed? Or is it something that can hit even a day before
the date of the scheduled interview?

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks.
