Default Crossing Border From Canada - Criminal Record

Hi,

What database does U.S. Immigration use to determine whether or not a Canadian trying
to enter the United States has a criminal record? Do they use the Canadian CPIC
system? I am asking because I have a 13 year old simple possession of marijuana
conviction. My record is not included in the CPIC database. ( A freind who is a
police officer checked. ). I have never crossed the border since my conviction and
have no other problems with the law. Would I have trouble crossing the border now?

Thanks for any information. Bob
