Default Congressional Inquiry I-751 URGENT

Hi NG

Can anyone provide me with the name of the congress person I should
Contact regarding the status of my I-751 Petition ? I live in
pasadena, california (91103). Here's my timeline

I-551 admitted in U.S on 12/25/02

Applied for removal of condition on 12/23/03 (LAGUNA NIGELS)

01/10/04 NOA from Laguna Niguel granting extension of green card up to
12/24/04

08/27/04 Receive RFF informing me my petition was transfered to a
local office on Soto Street

as of today 11/14/04, I have not heard from the local Soto Office in
Los Angeles.

Please advise as to what I should do??? I am considering having my
husband sending a congress enquiry?

Thanks in advance

I am not sure why you need a congressional inquiry.
You are still within the time limit of the I-751 extension.
You might want to visit the local USCIS office for status information.

This would have been incorrect. Did you really enter in 2002?
if so, then you should not have filed for removal until Sept 2004.

You file I-751 between 0-90 days of the second anniversary of getting
conditional green card status.

I wondered about her filing to remove conditions after only a year also. She has another thread with even different dates. Hmmmm.

The other thread said she arrived in Dec 2004. :)

Amel, when did you arrive in the US? If you arrived in Dec 2002 on an
immigrant visa (CR-1, for instance), then you should have waited until
Sept 2004 to file the I-751.

Hi:

I see I answered you post a little too early.

It seems that you filed way too prematurely -- like 9 months early. CIS will not allow you to "jump the gun" -- it just ain't fair in their opinion.
