confused, embassy using old and different 156 and 156K forms..
Hi, again. I'm still having trouble with some interview forms. Particularly
the OF-156K. First of all, my fiance was sent all of his forms in Spanish. Do
we need to answer them only in Spanish? I can't send in the corresponding
English forms, because..and this leads me to my next problem. The embassy sent
the old OF-156K and the old OF-156 instead of the newer and easier DS versions.
The difference in this case is amazing. Folinskyinla told me in a previous
post to let the English verions be my guide (thank you for trying to help me, I
appreciate it very much), but there is no English version that is corresponding
to this version. Any suggestions? This is driving me nuts. Why are they using
an obsolete form and why is it so different? Any chance they'd accept the newer
forms in English? All ideas about this would help. Thanks in advance.

You can use the new ones or the new ones -- the Embassy will take them!
On the "this reminds me" note -- in the early-80's, I used to do a fair amont of "TCN" non-immigrant visa work at the consulate in Tijuana. TJ used a very old version of the OF-156 which was obsolete -- however, we just LOVED using that old form because one of the questions was different from the newer version in that it did NOT ask for a peice of information relevant to non-immigrant intent issues.
