What does the SRC before the number stand for on your reciept and does
anyone else have this..we filed in Texas.

Hi Annya,

I heard the INS used to call the service centers "Adjudication Centers" a few years ago, and those were designated western, eastern, southern or northern. Thus, many receipts numbers still begin with a WAC, EAC, etc.

Never heard of an "SRC" number but it's probably similar. Maybe "South Regional Center?"

My California receipt number begins with "WAC" ...supposedly for Western Adjudication Center.

These are what the letters stand for. We filed in Texas too and have the SRC
case number.

EAC-Vermont Center
WAC-Califronia Center
LIN-Nebraska Center
SRC-Texas Center

Annya, I don't know if you ever go back and read the responses to your posts.. but has your husband even filed the I-129f? If so he should have a receipt number that starts with MSC. Maybe you should have him come onto the board and ask the questions since at this stage he's the one receiving all the paperwork.
