citizenship application form
Hi,
I obtained my permanent resident status via my employer and have been a
permanent resident for more than 5 years. I am applying for US
citizenship and would like to know what forms I should use. Can anybody
offer some tips and recommend a good online service for this matter? Thanks.

Re: citizenship application form
Another question. I am married to an US citizen. Would it be easier to
obtain citizenship based on marriage or my work related permanent
resident status.

Re: citizenship application form
the form is n-400. if you search this newsgroup or google for this
term, you find plenty of info (among them the BCIS site).
the marriage doesn't matter. under certain circumstances it can
entitle you to apply after 3 years of residency, but that's it.

Here is the link to the BCIS:

I highly recommend downloading and reading the BCIS's A Guide to Naturalization.
Good Luck,
Hank

Just d/l N-400 and instructions and complete the form. It is relatively very very simple and an attorney is not required unless you have issues that might prohibit the BCIS from issuing you an approval, i.e. criminal history, etc.
One other thing, if you were in the US before your 26th birthday, did you register with the selective service? If not, that is one of the requirements for naturalization. Visit the selective service site and follow the instructions there.
