Change of Status rejected ? no Approval Notice?
HI everyone,
I was hoping you could help me and my husband out. He came into the country (from England) on a Fiance visa, we were married, and we sent in his change of status paperwork. The packet was returned to us and on it was written that it was rejected because there was no approval notice included.
Can anyone tell me what approval notice are they talking about? We have a copy of the visa in there...
Thanks,
Sarah

The NOA#2 you recieved from the Service Center when you were approved. It would have been mailed to the US Citizen. It will say approval notice of I-129F, etc... and then it sometimes says the fiance's A number. I think it is the I-797 form... someone can verify that.

The is the second 'Notice of Action' you received when your Petition
(I-129F) was approved by the service center. It proves that the
INS has already approved your Petition.
Good Luck!
