i had submitted a change of name letter by Certified mail with return receipt to both Norfolk as well as Arlington 2 weeks ago.

while i did get a return receipt from Arlington, i have yet to get an acknowledge from Norfolk INS.

This is for the transfer of files for AOS after filing 485. I have the fee receipts from the post office.

Would the fee receipts be good enough for evidence that i did initiate a request for an address change?

thanks

OM

Yes. Arlington has been very efficient with the return notification. I mailed my letter on a Thursday and was surprised to see the stamped return notification in my mail box on Saturday.

It's been two weeks, yet no word from Norfolk. That's the office which should transfer my files to Arlington.

thanks

OM

Yes. Not your fault if they refuse to pick the stuff up from the post office
and/or stamp it. With Arlington I've had the return notification on
everything I sent very quickly - strangely the only one that went missing
was my change of address! (I realize the one you are missing is from Norfolk, not Arlington).

Andy.
