Default Can I seek work (via H-1B) after filing I-130 application?

Hi,

In March 2006 I married my partner, who is an LPR, in the US. She
immediately filed an I-130 on my behalf which has not yet been
processed. She is currently studying in Boston MA but has a formal job
offer for when she finishes studying next year. I understand that even
when the I-130 petition has been processed it will take several years
before I get my green card. I currently live and work in the UK.

My question is, is it permissible for me to seek employment via an
H-1B visa in the meantime, or could/would this prejudice the I-130
petition?

Regards,
Martin.

Yes, an H-1B is a dual intent visa.

Anyone?

Doubt that it makes a difference, but forgot to mention that I'm a UK
citizen.

Yes, it would be OK to do that. H1B is a dual-intent visa.
