If he/she has a multiple-entry visa then yes. Look on the visa: it should say M
against the Entries column

Does anyone how long an H4 visa holder can spend outside the country in one trip??
My wife and children went for an extended stay to the UK and will be returning just short of 90 days. Is this likely to cause any problems??

There is no requirement for them to be in the USA at all. They can leave for
as long as they want.
The only issue with very prolonged absences might be the presumption that
the marriage only exists on paper.
