Bringing medication into the US
Hi,
Getting visitors next week, one of whom takes co-codamol on prescription. Does anyone know if you can bring that into the US or is it banned like paracetamol and codeine?
Thanks!

My MIL and daughter bring paracetamol in every time they visit, along with prescriptions they both take. Its never been an issue. I would think if its prescription and in a bottle that clearly has the person's name on it, with pharmacy label, etc, it shouldn't be an issue.

Co-codamol is codeine and paracetamol. Codeine (dosage over 90 mg) is a controlled substance in the US. We've discussed bringing it into the US before...I'll try to find the old thread.

...which seems to say that you can bring in Rx drugs for personal use up to 90 days worth, ideally with a prescription....
it also provides numbers for FDA and DEA if you still have concerns....
