Both Flags or just one?
#1
Would the assembled Yanks please give their rebellious opinions as to wether its appropriate to hang both the Union and US flags tomorrow, or just "Old Glory"?
Of course, if both are hung, the correct conditions would be observed.
Correct side.
Height difference.
.45 bullet holes riddling the Stars and Stripes.
etc.
Would you be offended to see both flags flown together on this, most American of holidays?
Up your Revolution.

Do fly them at equal height, though, out of respect to both.
You can show particular allegiance to yer new homeland by eating a few extra hot dogs in her honor (English mustard is acceptable, if you insist, just be sure to spell "honor" correctly), and by refraining from any hot tea or marmite during the entirety of the July 4 celebration. If your hosts require you to drink Budweiser or toss a (real) football, you may be forced to comply with instructions.
On 5 July, things do return to normal, and you may resume practicing your quaint English ways. Until then, have a nice day!

Not sure about the bullet holes. (Do the Chinese sew those into the flags that they export to us?) But otherwise, sure, why not?

Right then.
At dawn, they're both going up.
Technically, the US one should be flown higher than any other its next to - but if anyone tries to measure it, I'll just shoot them for trespassing.
Cheers and happy Colonial Rebellion day.

Can we make it three flags, one more for Wales and better still go for four with my fathers Scotish one next to them all? We'll look like the United Nations of immigrants!

The US flag should be flown above the flags of the individual states, as a symbol of the meaning of federalism. But nations are supposed to be peers, so they fly at the same level.
Flying the US flag above the Union Jack would essentially be saying that England, etc. ain't worth a damn and if it's Scottish, it must be crap. Even the Iranian and North Koreans are supposed to get equal flag treatment, despite that evil axis of theirs. Even with it being We Won! You Didn't! Day and all, it just wouldn't be very nice.
Now, if only our diplomatic skills were as good as our flag etiquette...

Of course, adhering to the flag code may result in a bulletous rampage against your windows.
