Just out of curiosity how long has your passport being exipired.
Sometimes when they are expired for a long period they wont accept it.

My passport has been expired for a long time about 10 years, I never got renew because I never used it, and I have to renew it by mail but this take a few weeks to process. I not sure if I should go to the appointment and see if they will take my old passport or change my appointment date until I recieved my new passport?

Go to the appointment. They'll either let you do the biometrics or they won't. If they do... great. If they don't... you're only out a few hours of time. Whatever you do, don't deliberately miss the appointment.

Another option is getting a state id even though they will give you a
paper until your card arrives you would be able to use it with another
id. As Ian stated don't miss your appointment if they have to
reschedule they will do that when you go.

Thank you everyone for the advice, I am going to go to the appointment, it's only a 15 mins. drive from my home and keep my fingers cross, I did call my country embasy and it will take about 2-3 weeks to obtain a new passport I should have a valid passport in a few weeks. I'm shock that everything is moving so fast, I mail my forms out on 8/14 and my biometric is on 9/5. I'll let you guys know how thing go..... Wish me luck

I had my biometric appointment today in Phoenix, I took every piece of ID with my and I am happy to saw that my passport was not an issue, they looked at my Passport, SS card, old EAD and my Marriage Certificate ( because of my different last name). I am happy to say that everything when well and I got my fingerprints and photo taken. The whole process took about 1 hour, because there was a long line, but the people were all friendly and nice. Thanks everyone for there helpful advice and for wising me well.
