Re: B2 interview in Stockholm, Sweden
Your friend may not be aware that Sweden changed its law from 1 July
2001 to permit dual citizenship. So she could become a Swedish
citizen if she liked (and met the requirements), and the Swedish
government would not ask her to give up her Polish citizenship.
She should check out what Poland's law says - if the Polish government
will not revoke her citizenship as a result, then she could have dual
citizenship.

B2 interview in Stockholm, Sweden
A friend of mine in Sweden is planning on visiting California in June.
She is a permanent resident of Sweden but has a Polish passport so she
had to apply for a B2 visa. The consulate told her that she must come
in for an interview. We are wondering what she might be asked aside
from verifying all her paperwork. She has submitted documentation
which proves her work, place of residence, and birth of her 4yr old
son [who will be staying in Stockholm in June]. Anyone have any
insight?? thanks.

Re: B2 interview in Stockholm, Sweden
she must provide information that will convince the visa officer that she will come back to sweden after a short visit to the states. it is routine practise now for pretty much everyone to be interviewed before a B2 is issued. your friend should be prepared to answer questions about the documents she provided. hopefully the visa will be issued without any problems.

Re: B2 interview in Stockholm, Sweden
They interview everybody who is not a local citizen. In most cases, the
interview can be as simple as "here is your visa, have a good trip". They
basically want to see you face to face and see how you come across in
person. Sometimes, they might ask more questions. But they rarely have the
time or manpower for interviews of more than maybe five minutes or so.
