Arlington CIS is moving!!! Do you know where your papers are?
Copy everything twice and triple because more than likely things will be "lost" in this move. We received the following notice in some correspondence from CIS Arlington.
"CIS office is moving to 2675 Prosperity Ave. between Lee Highway and Gallow Road in Merrifield, VA.
The new office building is next to Dunn Loring Metro Station (Orange Line). There is ample pay parking available.
The date of move has not been determined though we expect to move after the 1st of January.
As you approach your interview date it is important for you to call 202/307-1504 to be updated on the location of your interview.
The message will give specific dates for the move and the transition of services to the new location."
- Also there is no free parking in that area so bring your greenbacks!

Is the Arlington CIS the same one as Ballston, VA? Had they already moved recently, or am I thinking of the wrong one? ARRGH!

Parking near the old office sucked. It was not free and it was hard to find. The new location is further out from the city though.

That is one and the same. Ballston is in Arlington (a county). Ballston is just a name, its not an official town or city.

Re: Arlington CIS is moving!!! Do you know where your papers are?
I wonder about this sometimes, because it seems like a relatively simple solution to many of the problems folks have with immigration. That is imaging technology. Everything my company receives in house is scanned in and routed to where it needs to go. If one area needs another area to look at something, they don't have to wait for interoffice or regular mail. We have offices in three different cities, but we can all be on the same page if need be. The image number assigned also serves as a date stamp and routing can be tracked down to the minute.
At our adjustment interview, it did seem like the officer could bring certain things up on his computer, but not everything. Does anyone know if they use imaging at all?

It's actually some way from the Potomac; if you don't mind a little walk
there's a bunch of free parking in the strip malls nearby. I'm sure they'll
soon realize that and start charging for it though!
Andy.
