Application & Interview Timing - whats good?
I know you have to be in the UK for the interview at the embassy before your
K1 visa is issued, but how long from the time of application does it usually
take to get an interview?
We are filing through the relevant Oklahoma office and the London Embassy
and applying for the K1 fiance visa.
I arrive in the USA to visit my fiance on April 30th and I don't want to
have to cut my trip short and fork out money to have my ticket changed to be
back in time for the interview.
I am scheduled to arrive back in the UK on July 30th so what do you all
suggest would be the best time to send off the K1 application?
And in responce to my last post about application time scales (of which I
cannot find to reply to now, sorry)...
Does it still take the usual 4 months if we're applying for the K1 through
Oklahoma Offices and the London Embassy?
I also had no idea you could legally (although at more risk at the POE) get
married on the visa waiver, but since informing my fiance of this she wants
to try this route and avoid all the waiting around with the INS - me and my
big mouth
And can I just say although my posts may have seemed over paranoid and
worrying you've all helped to put mine and indeed my fiance's mind at rest -
thank you everyone.

Re: Application & Interview Timing - whats good?
you will need to go through the Texas Service Center, which is taking about 5 month. Then you are looking at about 6-8 weeks at London.
This is a best guess
good luck
