AOS Interview questions
The letter from INS lists as one of the items required for our interview is:
"Medical exam results, Form I-693. Appear even if not completed"
But, included with our appointment letter, another form titled "Appointment
Checklist - Los Angeles District Office" lists as one of the "Documents
required for ALL interviews":
"Medical examination with vaccination attachment, completed by Service
authorized physicial and submitted in sealed envelope (Exceptions: Registry
cases and applicants with a K-1 fiance visa).
Our question is, since my wife came in on a fiancee visa, according to the
second document ("Checklist"), she doesn't need the medical exam. Anybody
have experience with this? My wife didn't get the exam, and our appointment
is Jan 8th, so I'm sure we can't get it done by then anyway.
Thanks for any information.

Re: AOS Interview questions
Your wife will not need to repeat the medical.
The letter you got was of a "generic" nature sent to many adjusting in a
wide variety of circumstances.....many of whom do, in fact need the medical
exam.

Re: AOS Interview questions
When we went in for the AOS interview here in Portland OR it lasted
about 20 minutes.
She chatted about her bike (INS Officer) & how her last one got
stolen.
She also saw that the INS had spelt our last name wrong on some
documents.
Of course she asked for the one thing that was not on the list for the
AOS Interview. It was a new letter from Toms work to confirm he does
indeed work.
So she got him to write that he is still working at Wagners & he dated
& signed it.
She asked when we got married how we met & that was it.
She stamped my passport & told me it would be 8 months for my
Greencard to arrive. I got my green card the next month!
Not like the movie & very very painless.

Re: AOS Interview questions
Oh & I read the list of what the INS can ask you at an AOS interview.
My husband would fail in a *huge* way.
He's pretty good at remember stuff I like, but if you asked him where
the phone books were he would probably reply "Where my wife last put
them"!
