We are also waiting for name check for our I-130, filed in April 2006. Like your case, ours is stuck with the USCIS too 
for name check. If nothing happens in another few months, we have been thinking about waiting for the check outside the US too. How long have you been waiting? And where?

our case in 2005 but we are waiting for name check about 4 months now but they told us to wait for 6 months ,

We haven't had the interview yet. Our case has gotten stuck with the FBI BEFORE the interview. It hasn't even been approved yet. What's your status?

the same case not approved yet and they are waiting for fbi name check , do you think that's the last thing they will do after name clear and they will approve the case

I doubt it. Right now they're probably checking the petitioner (the US citizen who applied for their spouse's visa). After the interview, there's another background check which is for the person who's there to get the visa. I have a couple of questions for you:
- When did you apply?
- How long have both of you been living outside the US
- When did you apply?
- How long have both of you been living outside the US
