Hello All,

I thought we'd share our experiences for the 751 so it would help other
people on here.
We got tired of not being able to see the status online and we just
called the 1800 number for USCIS. The lady that first got my call was
very courteous and very friendly and informed me that 751 status is not
available most of the time as they use a different database or
something. Anyway she said she cannot see the status but she can
transfer me to some supervisor or some officer who will have the
information and said i might have wait time. After a wait about 45misn
we finally got someone on the line. This officer was very courtesous
too and checked the status in said that its still in process. That was
about a month back.

I called this week went through the same process, except that the wait
this time on the phone was around 30mins instead of 45mins last time.
The 2nd officer checked the status and informed us that my application
GOT APPROVED last week and it might take upto a month for me to get
official notice in mail. WOO HOOOO:).Hope this information helps some
folks who cannot check their status online.


When I came home from work, I found the APPROVAL notice in mail with
the exact date that the lady mentioned in the phone.

My experience with the 1800 number is awesome and me and my wife found
good help with that 1800 number during our AOS process too. I know a
lot of people do mention the 1800 number line as a misinformation line
but our experience is just awesome with that and I really appreciate
the courteous folks out there.

I will post my APPROVAL details in another thread so people can use it
for reference. My service center is TSC and it took 6 months 10 days
from date of application to date of receipt of APPROVAL notice.

you must be lucky. we were not able to reach any live person on the phone. we had to go through the email method to get our status.
