Default ADVISE PLEASE ON A GETTING A WORK PERMIT

hi, I have been offered a job from a USA real estate/developer.... specialising in selling to Brits, Russians and HK/Singapore,,,, my job is based on Tax advice, Trust work, raising Finance in the UK.... to which I am qualified in

Can anyone be so kind as to tell me, how long it will take to get a work permit for this job.... do i have to go to London... any pit falls.... time it takes...

My job is specialised and I am qualified from London

Any useful comments... gratefully appreciated

The job is easy to get ..the visas is not ...

That particular market in Florida is full of scammers unfortunately ...
ask why they are not sorting out your visa

they have offered to sort it out... but they are american... and the state of georgia is another country!!!! everything is legal.... it's just trying to find a way to get a work permit os the L visa suitable????

i have done all their asian work out of singapore for the last 18 months.... now they want me to be based from miami... the opps are huge..legal and clean!!.. i am travelling all the time.. so i could hide under the visa waiver..but we want to be totally legal..

Most companies just pass the woirk to an Immigration lawyer

both of us are small..ish companies....new to getting visas.. we spoke to 10 lawyers this week...most of them want $300+for a consultation..hence this thread... we are honest and above board.. its unbelievable.. that it is so difficult to just get the basic rules...every lawyer wants money up front and no guaranteesĀ¬!!!

we just want basic simple advice.... we dont want to take the pi** on the visa wiaver....

surely i am totally qualified... to which no yank is.. there must be away

If you are deemed qualified under the L visa it should be bo problem
there is the A and B ...

many thanks ray... by chance do you know the processing time to get this.. and do i have to go to london to get it..or can i go to canada.. bermuda.. bvi etc

If you residence is London ..you will go there in most cases ...


could not tell you the current times but
ls are usually quite quick

dreaded that answer...looks like 2 times 9 hours of hell on virgin.... and 2 days of hotels... but i am extremely grateful....

crazy world.. when you want to be honest and above board... the system screws you!!!... if only i was mexican!!!

How exactly is the system "screwing" you by requiring you to get a visa to work there?

You should be glad if you're eligible for an L visa as they are quite quick and easy I believe (if you're eligible and have correct paperwork etc).
