Default Advice on I-864 payment

I'm the UKC and am here in the US, we're going the consular processing
route. We already paid the $65 processing fee for the I-864 and we have now
received the I-864 from the NVC. Nowhere do I see anything about sending in
a payment with it, no mention at all about about a either check or money
order. I'm pretty sure there is a payment of $335 required. Do we pay when
we send it in or afterwards? Can someone please enlighten us on this?

Wouldn't that amount be for the visa application?

Meauxna is correct that the visa payment is what you should have already sent in, and then they send you the 864 and the 230 or whatever it is to fill out. I say should have but at least that's how it worked with us, we sent money, they sent forms.

Thanks for the replies folks. I guess you're right, I've been enjoying life
in Georgia with Kathy and got totally out of touch with the whole
immigration process, and my memory isn't what it once was. On further
checking I find that the $335 is the payment for the DS-230 when that
arrives. I was getting a little in front of the process there. You get so
used to sending them money, that you think you have to make some kind of a
donation with each form you send in, don't you?

How is your CP going Cindy? Are you any closer to booking a flight to
London?

Hi Alfie, I know what you mean, maybe it would have been easier if they sent the form COD, .
We got sidetracked a bit this fall with some serious home improvement issues and then my son getting married (his wedding in Birmingham, Alabama, and was much different then the one you folks went to in North Georgia, lol. Anyway, we are getting back on track and plan to have everything in everybody's hands by the end of the month, THEN we'll see what they come back with.
I've got fingers crossed BA is offering agent discounts for flights up to end of March, they can only be booked 3 weeks in advance so we'll see how well that ties in with London's timetable.

Cindy - I've been researching flight prices for next March too, it's my
guess that the interview in London should be in that month, that's what
we're planning on. I haven't found any flights that can be regarded as real
bargains yet. Do you have any locations you recommend I look? Being in the
business, I'd guess you have your finger on the pulse of flight prices. :)

Since it would be my business, I would suggest you contact me first, !! lol. Anyway, several years ago Delta was offering sale fares the beginning of Jan for travel until end of March. The price was decent and better yet they were offering TRIPLE miles if you used a Delta Amex card to buy the ticket. So.....I did that and ended up earning enough miles to put with my leftover miles to use on another international ticket down the road.

I'm going to take you up on that kind offer, Cindy, and when I have a date
for the interview will be in touch with you. We fellow Georgians have to
stick together and help each other where and when we can. :) Wouldn't it be
cool if we were there in London at the same time?
