Default Adminstrative processing- do you get informed?

Hi
We are starting to look at flights (subject to E2 success!!!!) and became aware that sometimes people go through additional administrative processing.

At the E2 interview, would they tell you whether you are going through additional administrative processing? Ideally following the meeting we would like to book our flights, get everything in order and leave as soon as possible.

Just a bit confused about how this all works! Any help much appreciated...

They could tell you at the interview or they could take your passport tell you its approved then put you in AP.

Do not book anything until you have the visa in hand.

We where told (Myself and my wife) that we where going into AP. The officer let us keep our passports. It took around 5 weeks in AP and Visa was issued this morning. At the time of the interview the officer told us it would be a week or so in AP.... don't book anything!

I was in AP for about 2 hours, then it updated.

Seen others be in AP from a week to 6 months, so as others have said, don't book anything!
