8th year H1B extension through a different company
Hi,
I have a pending LC and a 7th year H1B extension with company A. Can I
apply for an 8th year H1B extension for company B assuming that the
current LC remains valid?
Since the new H1B extension will be from company B, is there a way to
no longer rely on company A's LC? Maybe filling another LC through
company B? I read something that said this would only work if the new
LC was filed at least 1 year before the 6 years expiration. Any other
way?
thanks in advance,

So long as the LC is still pending and has been for more than a year, it
doesn't matter if the H-1B extension sought is with the employer who
filed the LC or with some other employer.
