Default 3 years' tax forms??????

I didn't work full time for the past 3 years. What do i send my fiancee for the
Affidavit of Support. Will this affect our Fiancee Visa application?

Yes. You must prove that you have adequate resources, namely that your income is at
least 125 percent of poverty level. You can also help meet the level by showing
enough available assets at the rate of $1 of annual income for $5 of unencumbered
assets. If you don't qualify, you will need a cosponsor.

Most consulates only require the I-134 Affidavit of Support, which does not require
any copies of tax returns (unless you are self-employed), only a letter from your
current employer showing your current income. If you are dealing with a consulate
that does require tax returns or the I-864 instead, you will need a co-sponsor.
Remember your income must be 125% of poverty for your family, and you can use assets
to make up the difference, each $5 value of the asset toward $1 of missing income.
You will also be needing those three years of tax returns after you are married and
filing for your spouse's Adjustment of Status paperwork (including the I-864
Affidavit of Support), and if your income hasn't been high enough, you will need a
co-sponsor. Take Care. Shelley

Also keep in mind that if you are currently working full time, with a permanent job,
and/or making the limit required...they take that into account even if you haven't
met the limit previously.
