I am cut & pasting a question from my other half. We are planning to get his green card
and then move to Denmark. With that in mind: "OF-156 form - "How long do you intend to
stay in the US?".
Thanks
and then move to Denmark. With that in mind: "OF-156 form - "How long do you intend to
stay in the US?".
Thanks

INS gives you a clue for this. When you apply for a green card ( not green but by many
reports it is *cool*) you are asking to reside "permanently" in the USA. That is why it is
called a Permanent Resident Alien Card. That is the clue.

Why bother getting the GC if you do not plan to live in the US? If you stay outside of the
US for more then a year INS considers the GC abandoned and you would have to reapply to
return to the US.
