1 yr green card, Now what for AOS 1 yr later?
I'm trying to get my paperwork together.
I married 2 years ago under a K-1, then AOS. They gave us a 1 year
green card at our interview. Now we need to get the perm green card.
I was hoping someone could provide insite.
We also now have 2 homes, should we change our address and service
center??

Are you saying they stamped your passport with an I-551 stamp for 1
year, or you actually got a green card good for one year?
The conditional status is for 2 years. 0-90 days before the card
expires, you would file I-751 to remove conditions.

Which home is YOUR primary residence?
Why do you think you need to change service centers?
If you file I-751 to get the conditions removed, your status is renewed
while you are waiting.

We did the 90 day thing. We physically have a "green card" it has a 1
year exp date of Feb 2004. So, the paperwork would be just a I-751?

Well- BOTH are primary residents. I was trying to avoid changing
service centers, since I hear about papers being lost. Now, we are
spending more and more time in Texas, which would be a service center
change.
I really appreciate your response.

When you got adjustment of status approved, you would have gotten 2 year
status. That is why I am confused by the "1 year" reference. When was
the date you got the status adjusted to permanent resident?
You file I-751 0-90 days before the 2nd anniversary of getting this status.

File I-751 with the location serving the residence you will be more
likely to be living in when they schedule an interview, if needed.

We had not been married 2 years when our AOS was processed. That's
why we have to file again and go back.
Sounds like the I-751 is still the correct form and we'll proceed.

COrrect, but you said "1 year green card". Conditional status is for 2
years.
