You don't usually pay the embassy. You pay at the location (bank or post office) they
give you and bring the receipt to your interview. What is the $110 for? A
non-immigrant visa is $45 an immigrant visa is $325. What goes for $110?

alex,

Have you tried a bank? Maybe one with a foreign exchange desk could locate some US$ for you.

Check with the consulate on this. I think they may have a way for you to make the
payment at a bank, possibly. See what they say, it is a problem that others have
undoubtedly encountered.

Your bank can make out a cheque in dollars to the embassy and will charge your bank
account I know Barclays does it so I expect most banks do. I think there is a small
charge for it but c'est la vive!
