We were gutted when we discovered the only route to a PR visa for us was state sponsorship from Victoria. Our plan was always to move to Sydney, so on receiving our sponsorship, we decided to sit it out and move after our 2 yr commitment was over.
Well, we received official confirmation from the State of Victoria that our obligation to remain there is now over (we have been here just over 2 years), and you know what - we LOVE it here and aren't moving anywhere

Thanks all, it feels amazing. Don't get me wrong, I get homesick from time to time, but a peek out at the sunshine usually sorts that out

. Never mind though, it's Spring tomorrow so the BBQ will be getting a dust off soon, and there's rack of wine for the drinking and a spare bed with your name on it any time
