soapys pish!
8 short years today!
Since we arrived in the wonderful country we call home.
The last year has been a good one for us
Not too many hassles for a change
We started off the year with a curry night with other expats
A night with the Brissie expats in Brisbane
Christmas in July was a fantastic even in 20011, one of the best yet
We also had our huge trip north stopping off at Hook Island then up to Port Douglas
All our children were at home for Christmas for a change and we brought our tartan party back to life at the bells.
We have also had visits from Pauline’s brother and my brother
A British expats golf day last weekend was one of the best I have been to.
It’s been a full year for and very happy one and us
I hope the next is just like it.
It’s promising
Tonight we will lift a glass and toast our 8-year mark with other British expats who are going to a curry night on the gold coast
Plans are afoot for this years Christmas in July
We are heading back to Scotland for a holiday in August and my niece is planning her visit early in the New Year.
We are so glad we made this move; sometimes it does feel so far away. That can be a bonus too!
