In Perth 2 weeks, great place
Hi,
Arrived just over 2 weeks ago.
Already very happy.
We split our trip here with a 1.5 day stop-over in Hong Kong.
Flight to HK about 12.5 hours
Flight from HK to Perth about 8 hours.
It was great, having a little holiday in between leaving and getting here, and I would really recommend it. Nice to break the very very long flight in two.
Hong Kong itself was great, and we chose a hotel right at the top of the famous Nathan road, where all the shopping is done, but due to the short stay we decided to do a trip that gets arranged by the hotel where we stayed, just to get some sights done, and the rest of the time we just spent walking around the shopping district and spending lots of money (eeek)
Another bonus was that HK is in the same time zone than Perth, so it allowed us to pre-adjust a bit to the new time zone.
One tip - Shops in HK seem to be open from 11:00 to 23:00, so don't do as we did - got up 06:00 the morning to go out and see stuff, just to find it all closed up.
