From Melbourne to Airlie Beach
I thought I'd give an update on my progress. I came here to Australia with my wife three years ago, settled in Melbourne and then we seperated this year.
A few weeks ago I packed my car up, bought a tent and drove north with no plan. New adventure, nothing holding me back!
I originally thought I'd try the Sunshine Coast, but when I got there I found it had been developed a bit too much for my personal liking. I know lots of people like it there, but it didn't float my boat
So I moved on, and kept driving north, thinking I may have to head back down south at some point and was a little worried over where I'd find that was my place. Then I got to the Whitsundays and it just felt right. I'd holidayed here earlier this year, but didn't know if it was the sort of place I could live. Well, with the help of some positive thinking, I've now found some work at a gym, found myself a new pad, and it's all coming together.
Just wanted to spread that bit of good news!

We stayed in Airlie Beach last year with the kids & just loved it - looking forwards to going back again sometime. Did you find that fantastic chippy round the corner on the waterfront yet?

Not tried there yet, but will do soon. I treated myself to steak & eggs breakfast today and had half my steak nicked by a rogue kookaburra!
