Default hello strangers

hiya everyone, i know there will people who will remember me on here and obviously some that dont??
i arrived back here from currumbin nov 16th 2006!!!!! a little backround for those of you who dont remember or know me!! we were in oz for 2 years and first of all rented in banora pt nsw then bought our first home in currumbin qld with then 3 boys, hubby was (still is ha ha a surfer, a v cold one nowerdays), well we came back for the family business and for those of you who care i suppose its doing VERY well, obviously was the right decision financially hey???.......... however i still cannot deal with our future here??? i have for the last few years pined for our life back in oz and cant see it getting any easier i KNOW some of you will say "oh well shouldnt have been so shallow and returned just for money" ive been through all those discussions when we first arrived back and believe me i do know what ive done BUT as i said finacially it has been very successful!!!
basiccly what it boils down to is that we never WANTED to move back home to start with but did because we are in our early 30's m with now 4 boys and were offered a bussiness (the in laws) that was/is thriving, ans live in a very nice house and money in the bank of which we are saving for a return to australia in 4 years, hubby has a cut off year where we have decided no matter what we will try our darn hardest to get back in!!! we havent lived a life of misery here but as a young couple with kiddies on the goldie our minds are never far freom our once was dream life!! when we were there we (i) ha ha moaned about a lot of things, different food, cars, friends etc etc the usual brit settling in ha ha but after 5/6 months i absolutly loved every minute of it and never took those longed for beachwalks, drives up through the country, lunches in the surfclub and meeting friends (made there) in beachfront coffe shops for granted!!
i actually used to pinch myself as to how lucky i was, and wish i could do that now and wake myself up from this cold, frosty and minus 7 nightmare haha .............anyway i am hopefully back on here as i would like to stay in touch with the people i used to talk to even if it is for the next 4 years!!!!!! we are hopefully gonna apply this time for a bussiness visa??? sickening thing is my pm visa 176 doesnt run out til april but hey ho, cant go yet as hubby reakons he's a bit more dosh to make for out perfect life back in our fave plce in the whole world..........currumbin xxxxxxx

thanks for reading lisa xxxxc

Hi Lisa

In your shoe's I'd speak with a migration agent before your visa runs out. I can't see the benefit of you coming on a temporary visa when you have a PR one, even if the timing isn't quite right. Get your options from someone who knows then at least you can make an informed decision.

It could be easier for you to come over now and him stay there for a while? Can you not put a manager in the business? lots of other things to consider as well I bet. Also, just thought, would the amount of money you could make in the short term be swallowed up in the cost of a temporary visa and all that entails? Health care costs would be more, you wouldn't have access to Centrelink family payments (if eligible), then there's the cost if you don't manage to keep the business afloat over here and you end up having to go back again! All things to consider in your decision.

Hope you can manage to figure it all out.
