Default five years in the waiting

five years ago we started the process of going for visa's.

although my OH is in accounting as has masters degree, she needed more than the basic qualifications. so after lots and lots of studying/exams even during pregnancy. she achieved her goal (our goal ) and became a qualified accountant.
we entered the visa process while the changes were happening regarding experience and we were lucky enough to be asked to apply.

hopefully about 8 months following visa validation, it's a big list of things to sort out before we can. sell house or rent out, sell cars or maybe ship one as have had it for years and owes us no money.

Awesome! Well, you'll find most of that info on here.

Shipping the car will be expensive, BUT if it has low miles and is worth a lot more in Oz - it might be worth it.

Anyway, ask around and good luck.

I found the last few days stupidly busy - did a boot sale as well

Hospitals are good places to get rid of some toys, DVD's etc. We've donated to the childrens ward in the past at our local. Still ended up with a lot of junk in the container though

Good luck with the validation trip though

We did 3 car boot sales, gave some to charity, asked friends to sort through the rest -mainly garden stuff, christmas decorations, garden tools like lawnmowers, and candles made of beeswax. The rest went to the tip- 3 car loads!!!

Still had things that we haven't used over here, mainly things with sentimental value and last minute leaving gifts- hideous ornaments and the like, which, if I ever get round to it will find their way to charity over here if there is little likelihood of the donor coming to visit.

Have a safe flight and happy landings!

always add washing up liquid to paints to help them wash out
