6 Weeks in....

6 Weeks in....
Hello,
I moved over to Australia with my Australian boyfriend back in September 07. We have now been here for 6 weeks and I can't believe how time flies!
I feel very lucky to have had my boyfriend's family around as they have been so helpful to us but even with them helping out the first two weeks I felt like I was wading through mud and not because of jet lag! There was just so much to organise and as soon as one job was done another one came up! But we got there in the end.
I am enjoying being here but I am missing family and friends very much as there can be no replacement for them!
I found a job quickly and am currently temping in the CBD and am enjoying being in the city. We are living a far way out of the city at Redland Bay which is stunning but a little quiet for us! And it's not really an option to go out in the evenings as I have to drive from the train station and getting a taxi home would cost as much as the night out!
I have found it hard meeting people and making new friends but on a day to day basis everyone has been very friendly and helpful.
We decided yesterday that we are going to move down to Sydney as a good opportunity has come up for my boyfriend on the job front. I am really excited about moving down there as I really lliked Sydney when I was there last.
So I will update further once we are there!
