12 WONDERFUL MONTHS IN VICTORIA
Landed at Tullamarine June 9th 2008,exactly 1 year ago today.
Still here.
Wife and kids like it ,i'm really ambivolous about the move ....dont like or hate the place so far.
On a positive note I much prefer the climate here ( although it feels bloody cold at the moment )
3 more years and the kids can apply for citizenship. At this point in time i really can't see me settling here permanently but time will tell.
Thats pretty much it.
Heres to year 2

Being in your position is about right for one year..
I reckon it will pass, the more you settle make new friends, discover more places, it may appeal more..
Melbourne is an awesome city. do you recall when you were "stuckinblighty" ?

Hi
Goodluck for years 2 3 and 4th. You will love it. Been here 2 and can't even think about going back.
Just a suggestion have you not tried Queensland. Its amazing here. I have been all over Australia with exception to Perth and Gold Coast is easily the best place to live, not the cheapest but the best.
Good luck any way

Blinking flip, I can't believe you've been here a year already !!!! I admit, I felt exactly the same as you this time last year. I was on the fence as to whether or not this was a long term move. This year, it all feels more settled. I still say never say never, but on the whole, I could actually see me staying her forever now.
Here's to many more happy years to you and your mate

Hi SIB and Herrchook
We have been here now 2 years and 5 months. Australia is now right for us but still indecided about Melbourne. We might investigate Queensland soon.
I firmly believe that it takes a while to get the feel of a place but there is a point where you think 'mmmh this isn't it for me', we are getting that way with Melbourne.
