As an EU passport holder, it's now easier than ever to live & work in any European country'

There are restrictions, you will need a work permit to work in Turkey...

If there is enough demand for it, then PM Sue and she'll decide whether or not to add it.

thanks for the response, will consider it but it was more a comment rather than a need based on there being a forum place for Turkey which isnt but not for Greece that is.

perhaps there are some expats out there who would want to force the issue with Sue ??

I think Turkey can, in general, be considered part of Europe. I know whenever I look at travel brochures for Europe, it includes trips to Turkey.

Politically I think Turkey is quietly thankful that it isn't part of Europe at this time - as for the forum I think its more logical for it to be in the European section than in the Middle East section....

As far as foreigners who come here on holiday and those that live here permanently are concerned, the places they are likely to go to are perhaps more in tune with Europe than elsewhere. However, Asia is ok but not Middle East as that tends to conjure up ideas about Turkey that are misplaced.

If there is a exact border, why non stop change and move Euro borders? why they enlarge every few years to the east and south ?
So who knows? 1 day even Israel will be join and may part of Europe?

Sorry if I bit bothered anybody with my comment but I believe all is true Thanks all understanding Bye

Having just spent almost a month in Turkey, I don't consider Turkey to be part of Europe. From the moment you arrive, it clearly has a very different feeling than European countries with the exception of some tourist enclaves I guess. For a start religion has an important and growing influence over society. It's clearly a very masculine society as well - this was particularly noticeable coming from Italy.

Thank you for explaining, and I think I understand your point. It is more about the perception of where Turkey is than in where the border lines are drawn.
