New life in Ovacik
Hi folks - my wife and I love Turkey and in particular the Ovacik area and have been many, many times. We're both 55 next year and are seriously considering leaving the rat-race, selling up in the UK and moving out to Turkey. We plan to buy a couple of villas with pools in the Ovacik/Hisaronu area, one to live in and one to rent out to holiday makers, which will give us a bit of an income.
Property prices seem really reasonable and we think we can buy both villas, a relatively decent car and have a bit of a buffer with £300k. I've read up on visa requirements, taxes, health insurance and the likes so I've done a bit of homework.
On paper it all seems ideal ........ I'd love to hear back from anybody who's done what we're planning to do. Comments / thoughts / advice gratefully received.
Many thanks

Hi,
I wish you good luck with your new life in Turkey. We love Turkey and have a holiday house in Kusadasi. The people are friendly and helpful.
The health care is at a high standard.
Turkey was very popular in the years 2005 - 2010 among people from the EU. A couple of years ago, they started to sell their houses. I still think that Turkey has a lot to offer!
