Question Why

Hi

As you may know weve been contacting smaller companies in Canada for work
I got a reply from one today and this is an extract from her email....

"I find this very interesting that someone from abroad would want to move to Canada for a trucking job."

This got me thinking about "Why" we want to move and I just wondered what your reasons were?

and for those of you who have moved

Does Canada live up to your expectations?

Thanks
Di

Some people in places like Canada / USA think the UK is just a (Wide-Open-Crime-Free-No-silly-Drivers) place to live, lot more think the UK is small in population compared to USA, plus they think the UK / Australia and other locations around the world are small islands and lack techonolgy

WHY; wouldnt you get a reply like that, when they think this way.

My thoughts exactly CurtNIR, the list of reasons is very long not to mention the fact that hubby even has to pay to go to work (digi tacho cards etc)

BW... we were in Las vegas once and a barman asked us where we were from, we told him England, he then asked us is English was our primary language

Typical example of what you said

They have their own govt to blame.....

Who else would spell (School) skool

I was in Canada in 1996, spoke to Blaine USA Customs officer who told me while checking my doc's, that he was thinking of going to Australia for the Olympic's Sydney 2000

He asked one important Q?

Do you guys have Cash Machines in Australia.

(I should of said - No, you have to use Western Union....)

I have to admit, when I was walking back from the pub last winter at -43c, I wondered why I'd moved there too
I just went for the adventure. And that's what I got.
Good luck.

1, Food is expensive, we find it to be but you do get good value for most things here and quality, mind you bacon is rubbish.
2, The roads are rubbish, they can't tarmac on and off bridges properly. I have driven on better in eastern europe.
3, It has all the adventure you could poke a stick at and more.
4,Schools are good thou my daughter says their is to much homework for a child of her age (11).
5,The weather is kewl as you know it only gets better later in the year.
6, As a family we have done more here together than we ever did in Blighty so making our life more enjoyable i think.
7, Their trucks are still rubbish to drive but excellent when you are parked up for the night, lots of room in them.

The list is endless, we have Negatives and positives about the place and having only been here 7 months can only say we look forward to more and have no intention of going back to the UK.

LOAFY...

Umm...... no thanks Dave.
That's a drag bike....lol.
If it was for the track, I'd either have my old R1 race bike with rensports on it, or if it was a short track, a CBR600RR...... outbrake anything with that.
