On employment, if you want to make contact to the NZ govt Ecconomic developement corp they will send you a list of co's that require drivers.
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/Admin...le+Driver.html
While you are in comm with them, and you see a position that sounds OK, ask them for assistance to reside in NZ perm.
Remember thats the NZ Govt arm....
Last month I assisted one other UK driver relocate, he is on his way next month, he is going to email me a list of Co's that do want UK drivers, when that gets to my in box I will post it.
Bank account, easy one.
http://www.westpac.co.nz/olcontent/o...to+New+Zealand
They will do it all for you and you can make direct contact to them anytime.
Even I have a Kiwi account (Where else can I launder my POUNDS)
Anyway hope some of this helps.
NZ'ers are slow, in lifestyle / thinking / pace and even sport....
Its a nice place, you will feel like you just moved to Corrnwell, as thats what a lot of NZ looks like.
