Need pointers for LMO's

Have a good mate,
long time divorced, no kids, clean record and wants to move to Canada to drive OTR.
He has heard all the chat about Loblaws coming over for more Irish drivers in Oct in the DFDS drivers canteen but does'nt fancy the TC1 in the Winter-time with the pikes!!!
Very experienced truck driver,
so much so has an expired USA CDL, 1st time was a year on the "dodgey" work visa programme with Ro-Cor/MS Carriers in 1993 driving Stateside OTR then 6months with me driving the low-loaders/hopper-bottoms over mid-west on the harvest 2002.
Has got the T-shirt here in UK too(Ex O/D artic bulk tipper) and currently driving agency for DFDS on the Sainsburys store contract.
Does not care which province but wants OTR driving over majority of Canada/USA, with who?
Does he try the "usual suspects" IE H+R/Big Freight?
Anybody know of any smaller OTR outfits with LMO's wanting a hardworking truck driver who knows the score truck driving wise?

He worked from home at the last place, so I would think that as he was only looking after a few motors he had time to dick around on here during the day, now he's got a full time job and plenty to do, so we lost him to the real world

Kev,
what do you hear about Westcan atm, are they still taking on UK drivers or has the extended wait etc for APNP status put some off?
What does APNP need to see education wise?
He has all his GCSE/CSE paperwork and Certs but has only one grade "C" GCSE and all the rest are lower grades, would this matter?

Also has his National and International CPC's in Road Haulage operations.

Yup still taking on UK drivers , it's mainly for fuel with shifts 6/3 or 5/3 5/2 , so I'm not sure that would suit your mate , it's hardly OTR and he will never see the lower 48. .
As someone else said "the jobs OK it's the BS you have to put up with "
The AINP don't know their heads from their arses at the moment and rules seem to be changing by the day . I heard one guy got nomination with one exam pass but others have to take the GED with three exam passes , personally I think it depends on whose desk your paperwork lands on and things seem a bit of a lottery right now .

Was written on here by someone before that they require:
'' a certificate of proof of all examinations taken when leaving high school. It needs to show you have grades in 5/6 subjects with grades 1,2,3 or 4 under the old C.S.E level, or if under the GCSE, a, b, c, d. ''
There was never a reference to say where the info came from though, but they were working for H&R at the time I think.
