local
Hi new here. come on dinger24 say my name lol...
Looking at a move had a look at Oz first but, the wife thought it was just to far.
The thing is I don't want to move to a new place and be away all week again, the wife and kids would be on the first plane home.
She is a nurse so she is looking into that to.
We are looking at windsor.
Is there any good local jobs out there and is the pay liveable?
I also have my psv but listening to peoples tales of woh every day done my head in. lol

Have a search on google for some job websites. Jobbank is the big one. Short haul work, city driving and stuff like that. Long haul isnt exactly over subscribed, so getting one of these jobs may be harder?....i dunno.
Wages can vary but seem to fall around the $15 p/h rate (can be lower though), depends how you spend it and how much you have with you going over in the first place, to answer is it livable.
Also, just food for thought, but have a look at the Wikipedia on Windsor - and pay attention to the Air Pollution part...

Hi Coco-whats your name!
Anyway I know exactly where you are coming from with the wife. Our kids are grown up and one has left home the other is in fulltime college so it will be me and the Mrs. She is not to happy about me spending so much time away with her on her own in a new country and no friends.
But at the moment I have no other choice. You on the other hand will let the wife (I am assuming) be the main applicant. I am not sure but are there not restrictions on the partner of the main applicant gaining employment?
I am sure there a couple who post on here who know Windsor so they should have better info on that front for you. There are drivers on here who have driven long haul for 1 or 2 years and then drifted into a more stable run, and I have heard of one or two who only drive a daily run.
There are loads of sites you'll find with google, you might want to try Monsterjobs.ca, even yellowpages.ca is a good source.

The 22 yr old is fine she doesnt have to be on your application, the 19 and 15 year old will have to go on it even if they do not go over!
My 18 yr old (party til 50 category) will be remaining here in fulltime education but I have to put her on my application as she is classed as a minor until 21! (strangley she asked if she came over would she pay digs)
She only needs to spend 2 in 5 so we are kinda hoping that she visits during college breaks and likes it. Although she has recently meet BF! which does'nt suit me atall! but as my wife keeps reminding me when I ear his name stop breaking things and swearing aloud
